The Fall of Man

What is Sin?

Sin is Transgression of God's Law
The Ten Commandments

For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (The Ten Commandments). All men everywhere are lost and under God’s wrath. Adam was made in the image of God, but Adam (and Eve) sinned and distorted that image and forfeited God’s original blessing of eternal life in the Garden of Eden. Adam’s sin caused his FALL and the FALL of all mankind who came after him by falling into sin through Satan’s temptation. Now, all humanity is alienated from God. Men and Women are corrupted in every aspect of their being (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually) which means they are condemned already to be irrevocably to death—apart from God’s presence.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE is the need of all human beings to be reconciled to God under whose just and holy wrath we stand. The only hope of all human beings is undeserved favor (aka God’s Amazing Grace and agape love) of God our Judge, who alone can rescue us and restore us to Himself through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Are you a Good Person?

How many lies have you told in your life?
How you ever stolen anything regardless of the value?
Have you ever taken God’s name in vain?
Have you ever looked at someone with lust?

These are only a few laws from the Ten Commandments that define sin. We are ALL guilty of breaking the Moral Law and thus God will never allow sin to enter Heaven. God commands all sinners to REPENT and trust in Jesus.

Escape Judgement

Since we are ALL guilty of sin – breaking the Ten Commandments we are ALL under future JUDGEMENT from God.

What must we do to escape judgement?

We must acknowledge our guilt and ask God to forgive us. God is rich in mercy and will forgive us our sins because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Our Sin Caused Suffering in the World

Unfortunately, the fall of man (starting with Adam) means all men throughout time and history are guilty of sin and thus because of sin in the world the result is pain and suffering and ultimately righteous judgement. Suffering is a result of OUR SIN and not something God intended. Sin such as murder not only ends the life of another person but has a ripple effect of pain and sorrow for all those people that were part of the murdered persons life. Lying to someone causes suffering. Stealing from someone causes problems for the victim such as sorrow and anger.

God will be a just and thorough JUDGE of ALL SIN on the Day of Judgement. The ONLY WAY to avoid judgement is to REPENT accept God’s GRACE and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Believe that Jesus died for your sins. John 3:16
